Billie’s 1930′s Hens High Tea

As I race against time to finish Zed & Bee’s soon to be launched Invitation Collection, in my final 25 days of pregnancy, I thought it time to pull from the company archives to showcase some of the invitations we’ve been particularly proud of.

Last December Billie celebrated her Hens High Tea with family and friends at Manly Pavilion. Over canapés and bubbles her guests, in 30′s French inspired garb, handed the Bride beautifully wrapped vintage tea cups to make up a sentimental, eclectic set to last a lifetime.

The invitation for this stylish event aimed to conger an essence of glamour by combining bold, classic typography foiled on sumptuously weighty jet black card stock. The formal invitation was poster wrapped in a collage of Hollywood Siren Pin Ups illustrating fashion of the time. The folded package was housed and posted in a tissue lined envelope with gold calligraphy adorning it’s front.
