A Relentless Unearther… Introducing Sunday Collector

August 4th, 2010

Our latest blog crush is Sunday Collector, a newly launched, local style unearther who offers up her work, suppliers as well as access to her home, meals (and husband) on occasions. The common thread… refreshingly diverse, unique ideas with honest commentary.

With an enviable eye and knack for marrying classic design pieces with surprising op shop finds, Briar makes characterless spaces cool. Street facades and forgotten objects dont go unnoticed, the ordinary become extraordinary with clever editing and juxtaposition. Her fresh approach and ability to unearth affordable gems makes her a must have in creating your unforgettable wedding.

Contact Briar on 0404 845 944 to discuss styling your next event, you wont be sorry!

’1920′s Vintage at The Yacht Club’ – Megan & Simon

August 4th, 2010

This mood board was created with Megan and Simon’s classic 1920’s vintage with a contemporary twist design aesthetic in mind. With a stunning palette of Ivory, Lavender and Dusty Brown used cleanly against traditional serif fonts, concepts have been created using luxe printing processes to inject an understated ‘wow factor’. Their wedding venue at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron with it’s Gentleman’s Club ambience sparked the idea to mimic the venues interior materials through subtle letterpressed textures. The potential use of a crest or monogram is also in keeping with the 20’s era and Club Venue.

The Zed & Bee Ski Trip – ‘Change Is Good As A Holiday’ 2011 Stationery Collection Is In Production

August 4th, 2010

There is no better way to gain clarity than by sitting on a snow covered mountain, breathing deeply and admiring the view. We know, we have done just that, with a cold beer in hand and the world at our feet… literally!

Away for our beloved studio and exciting projects (pressing deadlines) Zed & Bee were able to assess the last three months and where we hope to be in the next three. Since our website launch we have alluded to a Stationery Collection and corresponding launch party. We are happy to say production has commenced and we are beyond inspired to produce 12 Invitations under 4 cool, quirky themes along with a small selection of  Greeting Cards and Giftwrap in time for Christmas.

Our mailing list and supporters will be invited to celebrate our 2011 Stationery Collection release in November and will be contacted with details nearer the time.

Onwards and upwards, happy days!
